Successful beyond my wildest dreams - yet, filled with self-doubt.
I graduated valedictorian of my high school class.
I went to an ivy-league school (Brown University) and graduated with an MBA from a top-tier program (New York University Stern School of Business).
I worked for some of the most recognizable companies in the world – IBM and Pepsi.
I did the “right” things high achievers are supposed to do.
I was “living the dream.”
I now see how my relentless striving was fear driven. The soundtrack in my head: IF I don’t perform, perfect, and please THEN I will be discovered as the fraud that I am, that I’m not enough, and that I don’t belong.
Stressed out all the time, I felt exhausted and overwhelmed. I never enjoyed my hard-earned success.
I suffered from chronic pain and anxiety attacks.
I felt trapped in the “I’ll be happy when syndrome.”
If you found your way to this website, you can probably relate.
Here is where our two paths likely diverge….
My life took an unexpected turn that put me on a different trajectory when my husband and I accepted an overseas posting with his job (at Kraft Foods) for what was meant to be a temporary relocation. We never made it back to our “old” lives.
No longer on the career track to Chief Marketing Officer, I became a CMO of an entirely different sort - Chief Moving Officer of my family. Over the next 10 years my family relocated from New York to Brazil, Miami, and San Francisco, before settling in Philadelphia.
After a decade of navigating the unpredictability life can bring, I realized fighting uncertainty and fear that comes with unexpected change was futile. I needed to reassess the way I was reacting to it.
I needed to learn to Do Stress Better.
My entry to coaching started as a personal, self-help journey. I leaned into my love of learning and studied the science of well-being. After seeing tangible benefits in my own life, I went back to school earning certifications in Positive Psychology, Facilitating Happiness, Professional Coaching, and Somatic Experiencing.
Today I work with high achieving professionals to overcome self-doubt, unlock their true potential, and find joy in their success. I teach what I need to learn. I share what I wish I had known when I was climbing the corporate ladder.
I am not an expert. Just a fellow traveler, a few steps ahead.
