My Story
I was a 38-year-old woman living the dream: happily married, two kids, climbing the corporate ladder at Pepsi, about to renovate our dream home. My life took an unexpected turn when my family accepted what we thought would be a temporary ex-pat posting in Brazil.
That one decision changed my life irreversibly and I soon found myself:
I struggled with feelings of frustration and overwhelm. I embodied my anxiety - suffering from insomnia, chronic headaches, and panic attacks. I tolerated and rationalized it would get better - one day.
But after a decade of navigating the vicissitudes of my life, I realized fighting the uncertainty and fear that comes with unexpected change was futile. Instead I needed to reassess the way I was reacting to it.
This newfound awareness made all the difference.
I leaned into my love of learning and studied the science of well-being. After seeing tangible differences in my own life, I returned to school and earned certifications in Positive Psychology, Happiness Studies, and Professional Coaching.
Today I speak, train, facilitate and coach on stress management, work-life balance, navigating transitions, and the science of well-being. My focus is empowering professionals to do stress better, a natural outcome of this personal and professional journey: every theory, technique, or tool I share is science-based and personally road tested.
I now have the confidence and peace of mind that comes with knowing I can handle anything that comes my way.
That one decision changed my life irreversibly and I soon found myself:
- Navigating serial corporate relocations
- Parenting a child with learning differences in four different school districts
- Supporting aging parents through medical challenges from abroad
- Treating my chronic pain condition with new medical professionals in each location
- Launching a business after an extended career break
